Traceability
For the ultimate safety assurance,
Rangers Valley operates a DNA traceability
system that allows our products to be
traced back from the finished product to
the original cattle breeder. We also comply
with the National Livestock Identification
System (NLIS), Australia’s system for
identification and traceability of livestock.
Supply Chain
Cattle are purchased from selected
suppliers who are checked against the
AQIS database to ensure they have no
history of chemical residues. For each
cattle consignment, suppliers must
provide written declarations regarding any
chemical or antibiotic usage, any
supplementary feed, and a statement
guaranteeing no growth hormones have
been used.
All feed is tested before entering the
Rangers Valley feedlot to ensure it is free from
any contaminants. All feed suppliers
must provide written declarations
regarding any chemicals that may have
been used on the crop either in the field
or in storage.

Feedlot
Rangers Valley feedlot operations are
accredited under the National Feedlot
Accreditation Scheme (NFAS) which is a
third party audited quality assurance
program covering all aspects of product
integrity, care of the environment and
animal welfare.
Going slow makes the difference
Rangers Valley employs a proven feeding
program. Our cattle are fed slowly, for
longer periods of time, with specialised
vegetarian grain rations. This ensures a
natural growth rate, similar to that of a
pasture fed animal and results in
maximising marbling, consistency, flavour
and melt-in-the-mouth tenderness.
Handling Healthy Cattle
Rangers Valley prides itself on the natural
health and safety of its cattle. All staff are
fully trained in animal husbandry, to not
only ensure the humane treatment of our
cattle, but to also employ strict quarantine
measures so our stock remain
disease-free.
They are fed scientifically designed rations
that provide all the protein, energy,
vitamins and minerals needed for growth
and development. This minimises the risk
of cattle becoming susceptible to disease.

the supervision of the dedicated Rangers
Valley production team. The processing
plant operates under the strict supervision
of the Australian Quarantine Inspection
Service (AQIS) ensuring the hygiene,
safety and certification of the plant is
meeting Australian standards.
Meat Standards Australia
Rangers Valley is accredited and utilises
Meat Standards Australia (MSA)
technology and systems throughout the
Rangers Valley supply chain to further
enhance the integrity of our product. MSA
graded product is available upon request.
